IT Engineer/CAD Specialist
ABC Imaging is expanding rapidly and currently has multiple openings for individuals that want to grow as an IT professional and learn new technology.
Basic function:
Under general supervision, perform configuration, tuning, and maintenance of Windows servers. Respond to system failures. Perform scheduled HW/SW maintenance, database & file system backups. Restore DB, file systems as needed. Is a member of an implementation team.
Responsibilities:
• Designs and configures an enterprise environment with appropriate hardware, operating systems software, applications software, and communications components to support business requirements.
• Administration of Win2003/2008 servers.
• Configuration, assembly, testing, and upgrading of software, hardware, and network needs.
• Investigate and resolve software and hardware problems.
• Provide technical software and hardware support for multiple locations.
• Plan and manage daily tasks with minimal disruption to ongoing user activities.
• Remove faulty hardware for vendor servicing and install replacement units.
• Assist site customer and other on-site engineers in system problem diagnosis and troubleshooting, collection of problem information, writing discrepancy reports (DRs), and recommending fixes.
• Writes and/or maintains up-to-date documentation for network software and operational procedures.
• Other duties as required by Director of FM Technology.
Requirements:
• Complete understanding of Auto Cad/Microstation configuration
• Ability to develop PC3 & Cad Standards
• Complete understanding of print drivers & printing configurations
• At least 2-3 years experience working in a Windows environment.
• Ability to identify and define user enterprise network needs.
• CADD, Desktop Publishing, Cost accounting apps experience a plus.
• Basic knowledge of databases and DB management
• Knowledge of scripting a plus.
• Ability to Travel 30%-40% of time.
